Baby Unit

The Nursery has a large Baby Unit, which at full capacity can accommodate 12 children aged 0-2yrs.Key Workers  are appropriately trained in this area and the children benefit from a large selection of bright equipment. Stimulation is important at this stage and we have a variety activities and equipment to encourage this. Key Workers observe, encourage playfulness and repetition  and complete an individual learning journey to ensure they receive the best possible start in life. This also hepls to inform them when completing their individual Learning Journey's.
 

Main Room

Here the children work on free play allowing them time to experiment with different activities such as:
Painting, messy play, playdough, laptop computer ,sand, wet play, role play, construction, mark making and much much  more. This is called Continuous Provision allowing the children to have choices and decide for themselves which of the 10 areas they wish to play and learn. As well as a seperate pre-school room upstairs.

Outdoors

The children have the opportunity to play outside as often as possible. Climbing, running, bikes, balls, gardening, building, sand play, milk crates, tyres, water, painting with many of the same provisions available as inside.Children are learning all the time they are PLAYING.

The outdoor area has recently been refufbished to  include a large decked area, bark, a large sand pit, activity boards and a a play house allowing learning to take place wherever the children choose to play.
